Auditions:

There are no auditions currently scheduled for singers. New audition opportunities will be announced on Facebook and on this website as they are scheduled.

Internship:

As an intern with the Piedmont Singers of Central Virginia, your tasks will be many and varied. You will be co-responsible for many of the tasks that go into running an arts organization of the Piedmont Singer’s size. These tasks range from administration, marketing, communications, planning, and others. The director of the group is part teacher and part co-pilot as she and you share and divide tasks necessary to the maintenance of the group, and at the same time she will provide you guidance as you learn the landscape of the central Virginia arts scene. This internship can also be what you want it to be, for the Director is more than willing to allow you to focus on tasks for which you have a particular passion, interest or talent. If you are passionate about business planning, you can help draft our business plan and organizational goals. Marketing? Then you can create posters and manage the social media accounts. This is internship is yours to make. Remote applications accepted, volunteer position, hours flexible.

Some of the typical duties include:

-Outreach to venue representatives re: logistics and planning

-Creation and implementation of marketing plans

-Financial activities such as purchasing and bookkeeping

-Brainstorming with the Director on future Piedmont Singers plans

-General administrative tasks such as: organizing the Piedmont Singers email and google drive, marking scores and sending music to ensemble members

Volunteer Positions:

Position: Graphic Designer and Webmaster

As a small and young operation, the Piedmont Singers need help getting their name out in the Virginia musical world. We are looking for a design-driven graphic artist with experience in digital media to coordinate online and print media pieces including posters, online ads, and web-based graphics. This position will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the group's webpage. Remote applications accepted. Part-time, as needed basis with flexible hours.

Position: Accountant

Get our books in order! We are seeking an experienced accountant well-versed in online accounting programs and financial management. The position will include budget analysis, financial planning, keeping accounting records, and assisting with our fiscal sponsorship. Remote applications accepted.
